Vacation

Koops family vacation

We have had a busy couple of weeks. A weeklong trip with the entire Koops family to a Lake Michigan cottage, a baby shower for Sarah Kramer, Jim's 30th birthday, dad K's birthday, 2 weddings, and a visit from Uncle Ryan. and we have had way too much fun!

Despite that we have also had an unhappy baby. Yesterday we (as in myself and the pediatrician) decided to start Kady on zantac and see if some of her unhappiness is reflux...and not colic. Being home and on a schedule has seemed to help her, in fact I have seen her eyes and smile more in the last 2 days than I did the entire last week! Much relief for a stressed mom.

I return to work on Friday.....I'm really not sure that it's time for me to go back....but Friday is the day. I'm sure it will go well for all involved!

The ghost of Lucy

One minute of unsupervised shaving cream play......

You've heard of Christmas in July

Lucy insisted on the hottest day of the year to go sledding with Uncle Ryan! Being a good sport he pulled her all over the yard in the sled, and even let her try and pull him!

Thumb suckers

I have caught Kady quite a few times now with her thumb in her mouth....how precious. She already wants to be just like her big sister! (sorry I can't figure out how to turn that picture)

The Fourth

Neither one of the girls wanted their picture taken in their fourth of july outfits! and no....for those who think 2 year olds can get zits (people have asked), the mosquitos feast on Lucy, even with bug spray on!--poor girl

After an hour and a half parade.....Lucy finally said her favorite part was when they "throw canny"

The four of us at the Cascade parade

Silly Lucy at Grandma and Grandpa Cochran's

almost 8 weeks old

Carrie......5 weeks left!!

Getting ready to watch the fireworks. Lucy hid behind her blankie the whole time. She was pushing the blanket so hard into her eyes she was shaking! She said she liked them after they were over! (her mother's daughter....)--that comparison is for those who have ever been lucky enough to ride a roller coaster with me!

Summer, summer, summertime

We made strawberry jam with Grandma "Cwoc-in" last week! Lucy was such a big helper when it came time to wash all of the strawberries! We have been to Gun lake quite a few times, enjoyed our pool outback, and enjoyed all the fresh fruits and veggies! I love Michigan summers! Lucy would be outside all day if she could, and Kady seems to love it too! Jim and I have been taking walks almost everynight with the girls right before bedtime. You have to take advantage of the beautiful weather while it lasts! We are preparing for a busy month, Jim is in two weddings, we have a week long vacation with the Koops family, and then I will be back to work already........how time flies!
